The TRIO Program at COS provides participants with intensive and comprehensive academic services to address both academic and non-academic needs. During the academic year TRIO UBMS provides all of the following:

Weekly After School Tutorials
Monthly Saturday Sessions at COS or education field trips
Motivational and cultural guest speakers
College admissions, financial aid, and scholarship assistance
Educational and cultural field trips
6-week Summer Program

Qualifications

To qualify for the TRIO UBMS program, a student must be the following:

Must be a U.S citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States
First-generation college student: An individual whose parents have not completed a A.A or B.S. degree
Must show a need of academic support
Enrolled in one of the four target high schools; Lindsay, Orosi, Woodlake, or Farmersville high school.
Low Income: Household taxable income meets the TRiO federal guidelines established by the US. Department of Education
