TRIO UPWARD BOUND MATH & SCIENCE

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The TRIO Program at COS provides participants with intensive and comprehensive academic services to address both academic and non-academic needs. This program also offers a variety of workshops, trainings, grant/scholarship, and internship opportunities to our participants. Program Services

During the academic year TRIO UBMS provides all of the following:

  • Weekly After School Tutorials  
  • Monthly Saturday Sessions at COS or education field trips
  • Motivational and cultural guest speakers
  • College admissions, financial aid, and scholarship assistance
  • Educational and cultural field trips
  • 6-week Summer Program

Qualifications

To qualify for the TRIO UBMS program, a student must be the following:

  • ​Must be a U.S citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States
  • First-generation college student: An individual whose parents have not completed a A.A or B.S. degree
  • Must show a need of academic support
  • Enrolled in one of the four target high schools; Lindsay, Orosi, Woodlake, or Farmersville high school.
  • Low Income: Household taxable income meets the TRiO federal guidelines established by the US. Department of Education​
