​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The mission of the Business Division is to educate and to train students for employment while also meeting the lifelong learning and retraining needs of our local community. The courses, certificates, degrees, and majors offered are designed to support the dual transfer and vocational missions of COS. A broad range of transfer-level courses are available for students seeking to pursue four-year degrees. Associate of science degrees are offered in business areas. ​Vocational certificates are available to assist students who are interested in updating business skills or who will enter the job market directly. Hands-on experience is available in: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Java, Visual BASIC, computer operating systems, keyboarding, TaxAct for tax preparation, QuickBooks, and LexisAdvance for legal research.
