The COS Fire Technology Program offers numerous paths to help you prepare for a fire service career, including degree and certificate programs. We offer a 20-unit certificate with the completion of the California State Fire Training Accredited Firefighter 1 Academy and Emergency Medical Technician, a 30-unit Achievement Certificate in Fire Technology, or an Associate of Science Degree in Fire Technology. Our academy is a 15-unit course with 380 hours over 19-weeks, offered in the Spring Semester. Classes are Mon, Wed, and Thurs, evenings from 17:45 to 22:00 and all day on Saturday. In addition, we offer a Firefighter 2 Academy, and California State Fire Training Company Officer courses.
