 Access & Ability (AAC) and Tutorial Services

​​The Access & Ability Center advocates for equal access to opportunities for student success by providing specialized accommodations and services to students.
Support services that may be available for Access & Ability Center students include but are not limited to alternate media, assistive services, academic counseling, priority registration, testing accommodations, equipment loans, and furniture requests.

         Tutorial Services

COS students in Hanford, Tulare and Visalia can get free help from qualified peer tutors, staff and faculty in a variety of subjects! Face-to- face and online tutoring available for most subjects offered. Tutoring appointments are available or can be on a walk-in basis.​

 Student Success Program


​In Room E65, the COS Hanford campus​​ houses our Student Success Program. This program provides services to assist students in meeting their educational goals through academic, career and personal counseling, workshops, individual and group support meetings. By promoting access, success, and retention, the ​program desires to help students: ​develop intellectual and academic competence while developing a personal identity;​ decide on or achieve clarity about a career goal; maintain personal health and wellness; develop multicultural awareness and learn to tolerate, affirm and appreciate differences among people; develop civic responsibility as a responsible citizen; and create a sense of community​ and connectedness to the college.

          Career Services


Career Services provides comprehensive advisi​ng and activities for students to strengthen their transfer and career exploration opportunities. To do this, Career Services develops and implements a variety of strategies that increase the number of COS students prepared to transfer to a baccalaureate level institution and provides students career exploration assessment, counseling, and resource materials to help them formulate their career and educational plans.​​
