The Geology/Geography Department prepares students for transfer in two ways: as a Geology major or as a contributor to their general education. The Geology program is dedicated to giving the students a wide variety of field experiences that expose the students to the complex geology of the western United States. The Geographic Information System course offers the student an opportunity to learn more about GIS software for either employment or transfer. General education offerings (GEOG 1, 1L, 2; GEOL 1, 1L, ) help students complete their requirements for physical science lecture and lab. Students interested in more information should meet with a COS counselor to determine the best sequence of courses to meet their transfer plans.
