What is a NetLibrary e-Book?

The NetLibrary eBook collection at COS is an online library with full-text copies of published print materials, such as reference books, scholarly and popular books. These materials can be accessed from any computer on campus, and can be accessed from off-campus once you set up a user name and password from a campus computer.

 

How to Access NetLibrary eBooks On-Campus

You can search for or view eBooks using computers in the library or through the library's online catalog.  No login is needed.

 

How to Access NetLibrary eBooks Off-Campus

If you want to search for or view eBooks, create bookmarks, or save notes, from an off-campus computer, you will need to create a NetLibrary user account.

Creating a NetLibrary account:

  1. Using an on-campus computer, Enter www.Netlibrary.org from within the COS library and use the Create a Free Account link.

  2. Enter your identifying information (user name, password, email address).

  3. Select the Submit button.

Accessing NetLibrary Off-Campus:

  1. Go to NetLibrary (click here, or enter www.netlibrary.org in your web browser).

  2. When prompted, enter your user name and password in the login box.

  3. Click the red Log in button.

  4. You now have access to personalization features, checkout capabilities and all eContent available in the COS library's collection.
