Gina Haycock is a Reference Librarian with the College of the Sequoias and has been with the College since the fall of 1995. She graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. Degree in history and completed her Master in Library Science Degree with San Jose State University in 1989. Gina has worked in public and academic libraries since 1975.
Gina has taught the Library 102 class since the summer of 1996. Her computer background is with a wide variety of searching software rather than with hardware. She likes the analogy that just as you don't have to completely understand how a car works to be able to drive, you don't have to know everything about computers to be able to use the Internet successfully. In Library 102 using the Internet as a source for information is stressed. Both computer novices and experts have benefited from this class.
